PINS NYSE
What Pinterest does
Pinterest is where people save ideas for recipes, homes, weddings and outfits, which means many users arrive with buying intent. Its ads look like ordinary pins and increasingly link straight to products, making it a natural fit for retailers.
It has also opened its ads to third-party demand: Amazon's DSP buys Pinterest inventory, and in late 2025 Pinterest agreed to acquire tvScientific, a connected-TV performance advertising startup, extending it beyond its own app.
How it makes money
Advertising sold per impression or per click, heavily weighted to shopping and performance campaigns.
Where it meets invalid traffic
Filters spam pins and invalid clicks internally and supports third-party measurement partners for brand safety and viewability.
