What DoubleVerify does
DoubleVerify is one of the two big ad verification companies. Advertisers pay it to check that each ad was actually viewable (viewability), appeared next to suitable content (brand safety), and was seen by a person rather than a bot (invalid traffic). It works both before the bid (blocking bad inventory) and after (reporting).
It also bought attribution firm Rockerbox in 2025. In August 2026 Nielsen agreed to buy DoubleVerify for about $2.15 billion in cash, a deal expected to close in early 2027; until then DV remains listed.
How it makes money
Charges advertisers a fee per thousand impressions measured or filtered, plus fees from platforms and publishers for measurement integrations.
Where it meets invalid traffic
Detects GIVT and SIVT across web, app and CTV, is MRC-accredited for many metrics, and its Fraud Lab has publicised schemes such as CTV spoofing operations.

DoubleVerify's Q2 revenue rises 3% as Nielsen acquisition announced
DoubleVerify reported second quarter 2026 revenue of $193.8 million, up 3% from the prior year. Net income for the quarter was $12.9 million, and adjusted EBITDA reached $65.3 million, representing a 34% margin. The company ended the quarter with $210 million in cash and no debt.
