What HUMAN Security does
HUMAN, called White Ops until 2021, specialises in telling humans from bots. In advertising it checks traffic before bids are placed (pre-bid filtering) for platforms such as The Trade Desk, and it also protects websites from account takeover and scraping. It merged with PerimeterX in 2022.
Its Satori threat intelligence team helped uncover and disrupt some of the biggest fraud operations, including Methbot and 3ve (with the FBI), and BADBOX, a network of infected Android devices.
How it makes money
Fees from ad platforms, publishers and enterprises based on the volume of traffic it inspects.
Where it meets invalid traffic
Invalid traffic is its core business: it detects bot traffic, botnet activity, residential proxy abuse and SSAI spoofing, and is MRC-accredited for SIVT detection.
