What Paramount does
Paramount Skydance was created in August 2025 when Skydance Media merged with Paramount Global. It owns CBS, MTV, Nickelodeon, the Paramount film studio, the Paramount+ streaming service and Pluto TV, a free ad-supported streaming service built on FAST.
In 2026 it agreed to acquire Warner Bros. Discovery for $31 per share in cash; that deal has broad regulatory clearance but its closing was delayed by litigation. If completed it would combine two of Hollywood's biggest ad-supported TV and streaming portfolios.
How it makes money
TV and streaming advertising, affiliate fees from cable distributors, Paramount+ subscriptions and film licensing.
Where it meets invalid traffic
FAST and streaming inventory is sold programmatically and is a target for CTV fraud resellers spoofing premium apps, so ads.txt and sellers.json hygiene matter.

Paramount raises 2026 outlook as Paramount+ hits 81.6M subs, revenue up 16%
Paramount reported its best-ever quarter for Paramount+ retention, adding approximately 2 million new subscribers in Q2 to reach 81.6 million globally. Paramount+ revenue grew 16% year-over-year in Q2, with double-digit growth in total engagement and strong performance from live sports and original content. The company raised its full-year 2026 adjusted EBITDA outlook to $3.8-$3.9 billion (12.8% margin) and now expects free cash flow conversion of at least 10%. TV Media revenue is down 7% year-to-date, but profitability in that segment increased 14% compared to the first half of 2025.
Paramount's streaming business is showing strong subscriber and revenue growth, driven by popular content and live sports, while the company is also improving profitability and efficiency. Raising its financial outlook signals management's confidence in continued momentum and operational improvements.
