What LiveRamp does
LiveRamp helps companies connect their customer data to advertising without passing around raw personal details. Its RampID identifier links records from different sources to the same person or household, and its clean-room network lets brands, retailers and publishers match data securely (data clean room).
It was spun out of Acxiom in 2018 and bought clean-room firm Habu in 2024. In May 2026 Publicis Groupe agreed to acquire LiveRamp for $38.50 a share in cash; until the deal closes, it remains listed on the NYSE.
How it makes money
Subscription fees for its identity and collaboration platform, plus marketplace fees when data is bought and sold through its Data Marketplace.
Where it meets invalid traffic
Identity resolution can help separate real households from synthetic or fraudulent identities, though LiveRamp is not itself a fraud-detection vendor.
