What Liftoff does
Liftoff helps app developers find new users (its DSP side) and earn money from ads shown in their apps (its Vungle exchange and monetization side). It merged with Vungle in 2021 under private-equity owner Blackstone, and its AI engine is called Cortex.
In June 2026 it went public on Nasdaq under the ticker LFTO, one of the few ad tech IPOs in years.
How it makes money
Takes a margin between what advertisers pay for app installs or actions and what it pays app publishers for ad space.
Where it meets invalid traffic
Faces classic mobile fraud (fake installs, click spamming, SDK spoofing); it filters traffic and works with MMPs to reject invalid installs.
