What ClearTrust does
ClearTrust builds tools that stop advertisers, ad-tech platforms and publishers from paying for traffic that is not real. Its core idea is the TQI Score™: a Traffic Quality Index derived from more than 150 filters that check for unsafe traffic, bots, fake clicks and fake impressions.
It sits alongside the ad chain rather than inside the auction: brands and agencies use it to vet where their money goes, SSPs and DSPs use it to clean supply, publishers use it to protect their reputation, and lead-generation businesses use it to weed out junk leads. It also runs the ClearCast podcast and publishes the TQI Report on traffic quality trends. ClearTrust is the company behind AdTech Sumo.
How it makes money
Subscription and usage-based fees from brands, agencies, ad-tech platforms, publishers and lead-gen companies that use its traffic-quality scoring and protection.
Where it meets invalid traffic
Invalid traffic is the whole business: the TQI Score grades traffic on bot, click-fraud and impression-fraud signals so buyers can block or be refunded for invalid traffic instead of paying for it.
