Single-source panels tie ad exposure and purchases together in one dataset
· 2h ago · Originally reported by PPC Land
A single-source panel recruits one group of people and tracks both the media they are exposed to and what they buy, or how they use different media. Because exposure and outcomes live in the same dataset, the link between advertising and behaviour can be read directly rather than estimated through statistical models.
Why it matters
For advertisers this offers a cleaner read on which channels genuinely drive purchases, since no modelling layer sits between the exposure data and the sales data.
Explain it like I’m new here
It's like giving one group of shoppers a diary that records both the ads they saw and what they actually bought, instead of guessing by matching two separate lists.
