Study Finds Few Meta Ads Disclose Use of AI-Generated Media
· 35m ago · Originally reported by PPC Land
A recent analysis revealed that out of 3,379 Meta ad files flagged for AI content, only two disclosed the use of AI. The study covered Facebook and Instagram ads from 509 brands, with a significant portion designed to appear authentic. Existing regulations in New York and the EU require such disclosures.
Why it matters
Transparency about AI-generated content in ads is increasingly important as regulations tighten. Failure to disclose AI use can undermine consumer trust and may lead to regulatory penalties.
