Google to Enable Default Image Extraction in Performance Max Campaigns

· 2h ago · Originally reported by PPC Land

Starting December 4, Google will automatically extract images for new Performance Max campaigns unless advertisers opt out via API tools. Existing campaigns are not affected by this change, but account-level dynamic image settings will no longer protect new campaigns.

Why it matters

This matters because it changes how creative assets are managed in Performance Max, potentially affecting brand control and campaign performance for advertisers.

Explain it like I’m new here

It's like Google picking pictures for your ads unless you tell them not to, so you need to double-check your settings.
