Google Analytics exposes user groups to API control with 14 new methods
· 9h ago · Originally reported by PPC Land
Google Analytics has made its user groups manageable through an API, adding 14 new methods in what appears to be an alpha release. Organizations can assign org admin, user admin, and billing admin roles to entire groups programmatically. Notably, no listed method yet removes a role binding.
Why it matters
Large teams can now automate who gets access to analytics data instead of managing permissions one person at a time. But the missing delete capability means cleanup may still require manual steps while the feature matures.
Explain it like I’m new here
