What MediaMath does
MediaMath was one of the first DSP companies, launching its TerminalOne platform in 2007 and helping create the programmatic buying industry. It was a major rival to The Trade Desk for years.
In mid-2023 it abruptly shut down and filed for bankruptcy, leaving clients and partners scrambling, a vivid lesson in supply-chain counterparty risk. Infillion bought its assets later that year and relaunched the platform.
How it makes money
Platform fees on media bought through the DSP (now as part of Infillion).
Where it meets invalid traffic
Was an early backer of supply-chain transparency initiatives and applied third-party IVT filtering on its platform.
